The secret of weight loss is to take fewer calories than you spend, and this is very easy in the summer, when loaded, our heavy dishes seem more and more unbearable. The best food choices for this season are light and cool.
Fruits and vegetables era beyond their calorie is loaded with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fiber. Leave oranges and apples for their time, and enjoy blueberries, cantaloupe, tomatoes, cucumbers and any other nutritious vegetable that grows in the summer garden. Even better, a diet with lots of fruits and vegetables does not require such intensive control of the size of our portions.

A cold soup with plenty of vegetables is the best way to start a meal. It has been shown that a low-calorie soup fills us, so we eat less when it’s time for the main course.

Vegetables on the grill
Step One: Bake peppers, zucchini, carrots and eggplants. Leave in the fridge, and you can use them in a pile dishes such as salads, risotto or pasta.
A salad can be a full meal, without the need for time and recipes. Simply well wash your vegetables, cut them as you like, combine them with what you like tasty – without fear of their combination with fruit – and a light vinaigrette dressing, and complete your meal with a slice of wholemeal bread. Alternatively, a salad with bulgur wheat (tabbouleh) will fill you with nutrients without causing your bloating. A good idea to give extra flavor to the salad without the need for dressing, is to take into herbs. And if your salad contain meat or fish, remember that is accompanying your vegetables.
Drinks low (or zero) calories
Delicious milkshake, tea and soft drinks, all made even more enjoyable in the heat of summer, but it is very easy to fill us with unnecessary calories. A soda with a little lemon squeezed through will cool our noon. If you can find sparkling water with flavor, combine it with a little white wine, and you get a delicious and light evening drink.
Desserts with fruits
Our need for something sweet is able to spoil our diet, unless you prefer natural desserts that will satisfy us, without empty and unnecessary calories. For example:
